11-Seven Price Alerts
This guide will teach you how to set up e-mail alerts for fuel prices from 11-Seven. You must have a Google account in order to set them up using this method. This is because all the magic happens on your own Google account and on Google's servers.
Example of an alert sent when 130.0 was set as the maximum price for U91.
These steps are best done on a desktop device.
1. Visit the Google Scripts Homepage and log in if you have not already.
2. Click on the "New script" button. If you have already been presented with a code box, you can skip this step.
3. Fill in the below settings and click "Generate Code".
4. Copy all of the following code:
5. Paste it over the existing code in Google Scripts and click the Save icon.
6. Enter a project name (eg. 11-Seven) and click OK.
7. Click the Run button and review and allow permissions.
8. Click Edit > Current project's triggers and add a trigger.
9. Make sure the first box reads "myFunction". Choose when/how often you want the prices to be checked from 11-Seven and click Save. Note that an e-mail will not be sent if no good prices are found, or if the price sent in the last e-mail is the same. For best results, try every setting it to every hour or every 30 minutes.
10. Keep your eyes peeled for e-mails and enjoy!
11. To stop alerts, go back to the Google Scripts Homepage and delete the project you created.
